2002 - This is where it all began! We decided to start selling our
own branded product that fall. Too many years of either low hog
prices or high corn prices had taken its toll on us and our
finances. Even though we had always raised our pigs on
pasture, we did not realize that there was a growing demand
out there for pork and other meats raised on pasture and
without the use of antibiotics as growth promotants.
We feel that 2006 was the year where things really began to
"take off" in our part of the country, therefore we are really
looking forward to 2007!

| Our son Bill and his wife Lynde live in Oceanside, CA. He is a Corporal serving in the United States Marines and is stationed at Camp Pendleton. We were so grateful that God brought him home safely in January after his one-year tour overseas in Iraq. This is their Christmas 2006 photo we made up for them. We are looking forward to their return "home" this August. Maybe grandkids will be playing on the farm in the future! |
